mission
Birdwatch is a consulting, production and communication for development (C4D) company based in Lisbon, Portugal, with a focus on nature conservation, citizenship and human rights.
In a fast changing world, understanding regional and local socio-cultural dimensions is central to find innovative approaches and tools to existing and emerging challenges. We put our wide experience in development contexts and our ethnographic approach to the service of our partners and the communities they work with.
We employ and promote the use of collaborative practices through audiovisual methods and participatory approaches. Therefore, we seek to contribute to increased visibility of environmental, social and behavioural dynamics.
Our mission translates into three main axes:
-Consulting: identification, research, design and monitoring & evaluation of interventions
-Training: culture and creative industries, audiovisual documenting, participatory video-making
-C4D: production and post-production of audiovisual content (evaluation, documentary, short, institutional, corporate, animation) and communication design (identity, illustration, web, infographics)
